I'm going to Panama on August 16 with my 26-years son. A trip that we want close to nature and away from tourists.
We will be in Bocas del Toro from August 17 to 20. We will go there by plane but it was difficult to book directly the tickets on internet. We had to take an agency and it was expensive. So we will take the bus to go back. We would like a night bus to go to Panama City. How can we reserve the bus online?
Then will have 1 day in Panama.
I read that you have to book to visit the canal. Do you confirm ? How can we book? Do you think it is better to do the channel? Miraflores Locks?
And the next day we would like to go to the San Blas Islands for 4 nights.
What do you advise us? I saw that the agencies pick us up at the hotel in Panama and then take us to a boat for one of the 365 islands of San Blas. How to choose ? I would like to spend a night in a Guna village. At this time can we plan to sleep in a hammock or it’s too risky with rain ?
Then it will be Saturday 26 and we will return to Panama because we are taking our return flights the next day.
Can you please tell us too if there’s a boat from bocas del toro to San blas. It could be a very good option…
